Litquake 2008

The party’s over for 2008, and what a party it was! We’ve finally finished totaling the numbers, and we surpassed our goal of 11,000 attendees: a total of 11,186 folks engaged in the Litquake madness.  That’s an average of 728 attendees per day, not counting Crawl events; with the Crawl, the daily average was 1,242 people per day. (You did notice the events were, shall we say, “lively”—didn’t you?)

We have numerous ideas for expansion for next year (no clues yet). But until we start working on 2009, you can feed your Litquake need by reliving the schedule or checking your favorite authors’ bios for ideas on what to read next.

Thanks to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, authors and other participants — and our audience!— for making this the best Litquake yet.  See you next year.
